Automatic People first traded in 1996 as an Internet development business.  In 1999 the Internet development interests were sold so that the founders could focus on a start-up venture that more latterly has become part of Oracle Inc.  Automatic People has since also delivered services to other start-ups but now trades as an Internet development business. 

You will notice that we do not spend a lot of time talking about specific technologies and methodologies on our site.  These are the tools and servants of the designer/developer not the other way around!  We have a background in UNIX and Open Source but in more recent years have moved to Microsoft based technologies.  We bring experience gained from careers working with corporate functions of the major industry vendors such as Apple, Adobe, Microsoft, IBM and SUN.  Fundamentally, we are business people and developers of Internet applications. We have Internet experience dating back to the 80’s and web development experience dating from the early days of the public Internet in the mid 90’s.

Where projects can be clearly defined, we are happy to work on a fixed fee basis. For other projects we will work to a service level, day rates or your budget.
